Specimens in the Use of Present Simple Tense in English

Pay attention to the time of the verbs with the seals! It is Present Simple tense, although it is about events of the past.
Usage of Present Simple Tense in Instruction
When we instruct someone how to act, we also use Present simple tense. Read the examples:
